19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been won on hard surfaces
A comeback the Russian player secured his initial title for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a challenging period, achieving just one match at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately separating with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the past month - culminating in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Moutet.
This marks his initial title after the Rome competition and maiden on a hardcourt after that period of 2023.
The win also signifies the Russian has won twenty-one championships at twenty-one various competitions.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to win a trophy is really nice," commented tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his past six title deciders, comprising in that event earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and recurring outbursts on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his capacity to play at the elite level was finished.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform assertively, supported by an improved serve.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, winning four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged service breaks in the middle set before the challenger, bidding for his initial tour victory, took control to create a decider.
The opponent defended four initial break points in a close final set before the Russian secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, he secured the win with a rally at the net area, with his opponent unable to manage a volley after a lengthy match.
